The big one: Wicked Half Marathon
Salem, Massachusetts delivered the deepest field of the day. The Tache Realty Wicked Half Marathon brought in 565 finishers — the largest haul of today's batch. Check the full results to see how the field shook out.
Lake Placid, right behind
Not far off the pace: the Lake Placid Classic Half Marathon, 10K & 5K in Lake Placid, New York, with 500 finishers. That's two Northeast races topping 500 on the same day. The results are up.
Aloha from Kailua
Way out west — well, way out in the Pacific — the 2024 Uloha Half Marathon in Kailua, Hawaii, logged 446 finishers. Results here.
Small field, big character
And from Lansing, Iowa, The Driftless Half Marathon checks in with 132 finishers — the smallest of today's four, but a nice Midwest counterpoint to the coastal crowds. Results are live.
The pattern worth noting
Add up today's two biggest races — Salem and Lake Placid — and you get 1,065 finishers from just two Northeast events. That's half of today's entire results haul coming from one corner of the country on a single October day. Meanwhile, Hawaii and Iowa round out the map with 446 and 132 respectively. Four races, four time zones' worth of stories, one dispatch.
