The Experience
The Auburn Half Marathon, first run in 2005 and now in its seventh edition, winds through California's historic Gold Country. This race is known for its fast, flat course, making it a prime location for runners aiming for personal bests.
The ~142 finishers on average navigate a course designed for speed. With minimal elevation changes and a straightforward path, it’s an ideal setting for chasing a PR. The event also includes 10K and 5K distances, welcoming a range of runners.
While the field size has trended smaller in recent years, with about 106 finishers and participants typically hailing from around three states, the Auburn Half Marathon maintains a dedicated following. The typical winning time around 1:06:48 indicates a competitive edge for those at the front.
