UltraTrax Wisp

UltraTrax is back at Wisp Resort for another year of challenge, fun and community! The revised course will feature even more trails and scenic views, showcasing he very best of the area's Appalachian terrain. Your adventure begins at the resort base, climbing swiftly up the wooded ski-runs and service roads into the heart of the mountain. You’ll traverse flowing single-track, cut across wide double-track snow-cat paths, and ride high on ridge trails that offer sweeping views across Deep Creek Lake. At the summit the vista opens up: panoramic mountain views, crisp air, and a rewarding vantage point before the real fun begins. From there, you’ll dive into the descent - rock-strode, tree-lined corridors, and flowing ski-trail connectors that funnel you back toward the village. The final stretch brings you flying down toward the resort base, finishing at the heart of Wisp Resort. Participants and spectators are welcome to hang out and celebrate their achievement with a variety of food and drinks available for purchase.  Choose your distance: 7, 14, 21, or 28 miles, and complete in 10 hours to earn the coveted UltraTrax Grey Wolf Medal. Toss on a 10, 20, or 35-lb weighted vest or ruck and unlock bonus finisher swag + serious bragging rights. The course will be extremely well marked. All Level Challenge: UltraTrax is designed for beginners and experienced athletes alike. Bring a friend and level up the route by adding weight to carry! Fun Atmosphere: Enjoy the lively setting with fellow adventurers. Trek Day Information UltraTrax Wisp kicks off at 7am on April 10, 2027. The starting line will be open from 7am to 10am. It is not a race, but it is a timed event and walkers will have 10 hours to complete the course. Bibs can be mailed or picked up the morning of the event. **IF YOU REGISTER AFTER 3/25/27, BIBS MUST BE PICKED UP IN PERSON. A friend or relative can pick up a bib if you can't attend. Complimentary parking is available onsite. Finishers will receive a custom t-shirt, medal and velcro patch.  *If you signed up to carry weight, you will need to bring your own vest/backpack. We will weigh it the morning of the event. Everything counts toward the total except perishable items. Complimentary parking is available onsite.
