The Experience
Each fall, the Innsbrook Half Marathon welcomes roughly 170 runners to the Innsbrook Resort, about an hour from St. Louis. Runners arrive from 11 states, and nearly a quarter return year after year—a testament to the event's quiet appeal. Now in its fifth edition, this small but spirited race offers a genuine taste of the Missouri countryside at peak color.
The course is a certified 13.1 miles of pavement and smooth gravel roads, winding through the resort's wooded landscape. The terrain is undeniably challenging, but the vibrant fall foliage and the promise of a unique finish keep legs moving. With a cap of 500 runners, the field stays intimate and uncrowded.
At the finish line, runners are greeted with a custom finisher medal, a premium long-sleeved shirt, a catered to-go lunch, live music, and cold beer. It's a low-key celebration that feels more like a community gathering than a race. For those seeking an authentic, off-the-radar half-marathon experience, Innsbrook delivers.
