The Run with Scissors race series, held in Hinckley, Ohio, invites runners to tackle distances of a half, full, or double marathon within the scenic Cleveland Metroparks Hinkley Reservation. The event starts and finishes at Ledge Lake Lodge, offering a unique loop-based course designed to accommodate a variety of paces.
This is a moderately challenging course, winding through natural terrain with rocks, roots, and open fields. Each loop features an average elevation of approximately 1,600 feet, demanding a thoughtful approach to pacing and strategy. Generous time limits, with a 10:00 PM cutoff for the half and full marathons, make it a hiker-friendly option, while the double marathon offers a 16-hour window for completion. Runners receive a unisex T-shirt as part of their race package.
Race-provided description
Run with Scissors will start and finish at Ledge Lake Lodge. We will have distances of the half, full, or double marathon that take you through the heart of the Cleveland Metroparks Hinkley Reservation. All distances have until 10:00 pm to finish. This is hiker friendly for the half/full marathon, you have plenty of time to finish by 9:00pm. There will be NO early starts. Double marathon has a 16 hour cutoff. The course is roughly 13.1 miles. You will run 1,2 or 4 loops depending on your chosen distance. This is a moderately difficult course that winds through rocks, roots, and fields and has an average elevation of about 1,600' per loop. Choose your distance wisely!
