Take a trip to the Allegheny National Forest this summer and experience one of America's most scenic forests. Called "The Land of Many Uses," the Allegheny National Forest is known for its diverse recreational offerings like hiking, boating, swimming, and biking. Experience what National Geographic calls "one of America’s most scenic drives" on PA Route 6 and make the Kinzua Half Marathon your race destination this summer. Half Marathon Race Information Experience this one-of-a-kind, destination half marathon in the Allegheny National Forest. All participants receive a performance shirt, commemorative finisher medal, personalized bib, and free race photos! Water stations at will be available along the course. Refreshments provided at the finish. This race will be disposable bib chip timed with live online results. The course time limit is 4 hours (18 min per mile). Registration fees and donations support the Mt. Jewett to Kinzua Bridge Trail Club (MJ2KB) to help support further development of the Knox to Kane trail. Start/Finish Start Time: 8:00 AM Start Location: Intersection of Hacker St. & Guffey Rd. in the town of Mt. Jewett Finish Location: in the town of Mt. Jewett at the Knox & Kane Rail Trail Mt. Jewett Trailhead. Packet Pickup Saturday: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the MJ2KB Trail Club Office (48 W Main St, Mt Jewett, PA 16740) Sunday: 6:45 AM - 8:00 AM at the MJ2KB Trail Club Office (48 W Main St, Mt Jewett, PA 16740) Half Marathon Aid Stations Aid stations will be located at miles 4, 7, & 10.5. Half Marathon Awards Awards will be given to the Top 3 overall male and female finishers in Open & Masters plus the top 3 finishers in each of the following categories: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Over. Named Top 10 National Forest in the USA - Forestry.com 5K Race Information Saturday evening 5K race starting at 7:00. All participants receive a performance shirt, commemorative finisher medal, personalized bib, and free race photos! Water station prior to the turnaround. Refreshments provided at the finish. This race will be disposable bib chip timed with live online results. The course time limit is 1.5 hours (approx. 14:30/mile). Race registration fees and donations support the Mt. Jewett to Kinzua Bridge Trail Club (MJ2KB) to help support further development of the Knox to Kane trail. Start/Finish Start Time: 7:00 PM Start & Finish Location: in the town of Mt. Jewett at the Knox & Kane Rail Trail Mt. Jewett Trailhead.
