Old Turnpike Half Marathon

The Old Turnpike Half Marathon takes place at the one-of-a-kind Abandoned Pennsylvania Turnpike! Featured in a movie, once billed as the “World’s Greatest Highway”, and surrounded by the stunning scenery of Buchanan State Forest and the Allegheny Mountain Range, this half marathon is a must! Run through the 1.26 mile long Sideling Hill tunnel and the kilometer-long Rays Hill tunnel.  Restrooms & Aid Stations: Portable restrooms will be placed in the Cove Valley Travel Plaza parking lot and along the course. Aid Stations with refreshments and first aid kits will be available along the course. Race Parking: Available at the Cove Valley Travel Plaza alongside the Old PA Turnpike. The start & finish line is less than 200 meters from this parking lot. Packet Pickup:  Friday June 7: 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Holiday Inn Express Breezewood (16503 Lincoln Hwy, Breezewood, PA 15533)Saturday June 8: 6:45 - 8:00 AM at the Start/Finish area (3005 Pump Station Road, Waterfall, PA 16689) Awards: Awards will be given to the Top 3 Overall Male and Female Open & Masters Finishers as well as the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age groups: 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
