2027 St. Luke's Half Marathon & 5K

In its 18th edition, St. Luke's Half Marathon has become a Lehigh Valley spring ritual. Roughly 1,900 runners gather at William Allen High School, some traveling from as many as 29 states, and about 36% of participants come back for another go — a loyalty that speaks to a day done right. The course rolls out onto Allentown's roads before diving into the green corridors of Little Lehigh Parkway, then traces hard-packed trail beside the Lehigh River, winds through Cedar Beach Park, and finishes with a two-thirds lap around the Allen High School football stadium track.

The profile is mostly flat with a few gentle hills — one notable climb at mile 10 — and the measured, USATF-certified route is a friendly target for first-timers. Live bands — rock, blues, funk, and marching bands — are staged all along the course, turning the miles into a movable concert. Aid stations are plentiful and stocked with a variety of refreshments, and the stadium finale gives spectators a grandstand view of every finish.

After crossing the line, runners are met with strong post-race food and a warm, welcoming crowd. All proceeds support grants, scholarships, and programs from the Lehigh Valley Road Runners, adding a community-purpose glow to an already satisfying race day.
