Providence Rhode Races

Now in its 15th edition, Providence Rhode Races draws roughly 840 finishers from 34 states, with about 11% returning year after year. The course starts at East Providence's Bold Point Park and unfolds through historic neighborhoods, treelined streets, and working waterfronts, offering runners a sweeping tour of Rhode Island's coastal and urban character.

The half marathon, part of a longer marathon-and-5k program, is a fast, flat USATF-certified route that qualifies Boston Marathon hopefuls. Typical race-day weather hovers around 48–63°F with low precipitation, ideal for spring racing. The growing field and loyal repeat attendance speak to the event's strong local following and scenic appeal.
