The Half Marathon will begin at 8:00 am,  This event runs through the the Annandale trail near and around Lake Accotink. The course will traverse primarily paved trails, some gravel and some dirt trails as well.  The Half Marathon course begins by turning right onto the CCT and heads towards Americana Park, after a small loop in the neighborhood they will head back towards the lake and run clockwise around the lake until they get to the Lake Accotink parking lots. Runners run through the parking lot to get back on the trail running towards Byron Park. There will be a short dog leg, taking runners under Old Keene Mill Rd, before they complete the loop around Byron Park, putting runners back on the trail heading back towards Lake Accotink. At the Lake runners will head towards the finish line by running counter clock wise around the Lake...returning the same way runners went out. There will be 4 waterstops along the way, with the opportunity to stop twice at most of them, the last waterstop will be roughly at mile 11. NEW this year, the 4 miler will start and end at Lake Accotink Park!!!
