REVEL Big Cottonwood Leads Today's HalfRuns Drop

Twelve half marathon result drops on HalfRuns today, led by REVEL Big Cottonwood's 1,820 finishers in Salt Lake City. New England and California each land four.

September 20, 2026

Twelve result drops landed today, and one of them swallowed the rest of the board whole. Here's what's new on the site this morning.

One race, eleven races' worth of runners

REVEL Big Cottonwood in Salt Lake City, Utah, posted 1,820 finishers for 2026 — more than every other race in today's pull combined. The full results are live now.

That's the headline number of the day and it isn't close. Everything below is fighting for second place.

New England quietly stacks up

Three of today's drops sit within a few hours' drive of each other, which is a nice reminder that late September is prime half marathon season in the Northeast.

California goes four deep

The Golden State also sent four races into the results queue today, from the Sierra to the coast.

One note on that set: the Quicksilver numbers are from 2025, so if you ran it this year and don't see yourself, give it time.

The rest of the board

Two Pennsylvania races, a New Jersey staple, and an Iowa half round out the day.

The pattern worth noticing

Two states carried half of today's list. California and Pennsylvania each put four races in, but they couldn't look more different — California's fields ran from 18 to 189, while Pennsylvania's ran from 18 to 150. Meanwhile, the Northeast as a whole (Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, New Jersey, Pennsylvania) accounted for seven of the twelve races. Small-town halves are alive and well out east.
