The Pattern Worth Noticing
Today's results trace two clean clusters, and they are nowhere near each other.
- The Northeast corridor sent two races: Sackets Harbor in upstate New York and Mercer County in Trenton, New Jersey. Together they account for 1,082 finishers — nearly as much as Seattle's single race.
- The rest of the map is one race per time zone: Seattle on the Pacific, Keystone on the edge of the Black Hills, Nashville in the South.
