Today on HalfRuns: Smokies and Santa Claus Results

Nearly a thousand runners crossed the line in Townsend, Tennessee. The Great Smoky Mountains Half Marathon & 5K leads today's results pull with 990 finishers, and every one of those rows is live on the site now.

The day's biggest field

A 990-deep finisher list is the kind of haul that makes for good scrolling — and it's the largest single field we brought in today by a wide margin.

If you ran it, your name is in there. If you're thinking about it for next year, the finisher list is the best scouting report you'll get.

North Pole, Alaska, checks in

The Santa Claus Half Marathon added 142 finishers to the books today. Smaller field, far better story to tell at work on Monday. That's the complete results set — all 142 of them — now searchable.

Fresh photos: Redfish Lake

One new gallery got curated today: the 2027 Redfish Lake Lodge Memorial Run in Stanley, Idaho. Worth a look if you like your race scenery with mountains attached.

What the numbers are telling us

Two races, two very different corners of the map: Townsend, Tennessee and North Pole, Alaska, landing in the same afternoon's pull. The pattern here is a familiar one — the biggest field of the day came from the Smokies, where a 990-runner half is business as usual, while the Alaska race posted the smallest field and the most memorable address in the entire database.

The other thing worth noticing: today's photo set is for a 2027 race. That's the long game of race season — galleries, results, and pages all stacking up months before anyone toes a start line.

That's the dispatch. Two results sets, 1,132 finishers, one new gallery. Go find your name.
